ExtraOutlook
As long as Outlook has been around, people have been trying to get two instances running at the same time. Not multiple profiles that you can load when starting Outlook, but two separate instances running concurrently, each with their own associated profile. After all, Outlook (even 2007) only lets you connect to a single Exchange server per profile… And that sucks.
What would be great is to have one instance connected up to your “business” Exchange Server, and another connected up to your “personal” Exchange Server (and of course, to other people’s Exchange servers who don’t you know have an account on their box

Hi, I have been trying to do this as I have two Outlook profiles. One is connected via an exhange server, in a virtual location, and the other is through a POP3 account. When I put the details in the command window all that happens is that it opens the same outlook profile as I already have open. This happens whichever profile I am in at the time. Any thoughts? Thanks Emma

You have to make sure you have the outlook profile setup first. All ExtraOutlook does is start an instance of outlook with the specified profile. The best way to use this is with a BAT file.
Download and extract the ExtraOutlook into your Windows directory.
Then create a BAT file with this inside…
extraoutlook.exe “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\Outlook.exe” /profile “YOUR PROFILE NAME1”
extraoutlook.exe “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\Outlook.exe” /profile “YOUR PROFILE NAME2”
You should now have 2 outlooks running, one for profile 1 and the other for profile 2 of course replacing what I have for your real profile names.
I hope this helps.
