Well don’t worry you can manually update your G1 Phone firmware to RC33. Fortunately some has extracted the RC33 from official update package which can be used to update g1 Phone firmware to RC33. Here is guide on How to Manually Update G1 Phone firmware to RC33.

If you cant wait for the RC33 update download from the market.
Open the app and hit new shortcut. Then hit activity and then device info. This will create a short cut on what you could say “the desktop” Click on it scroll down to bottom and hit check for upgrade.

Once I did this it started the RC33 download.

This process assumes that you have not hacked root access on your phone. I will post tomorrow the Hack for Root users.
