Recent problem with my XBox360
Recently I could not play a game that seemed to be in perfect working order just the day before. Well I did some digging and discovered the problem is not unique to me or the AWESOME game i was trying to play. The game in question was Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. What was happening was, I would place the game in the console and it would load a BLACK screen sort of like turning off the console, but I could hear the disk spinning.
During the troubleshooting I deleted my saved game thinking that was somehow corrupt. I could still not play the game… Bummer dude…
Little did I know the Xbox has a maintenance screen for the hard drive… Below is the resolution for my problem.
Clear the cache of the XBox 360:
Locate the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
Select Memory, select Hard Drive, and then press Y to view the device options screen.
On the Xbox 360 Controller, press X, X, LB, RB, X, X.
You will be prompted to confirm system maintenance. Select Yes by pressing A.
Like magic I can now play my game. I hope this helps the next person to develop this issue.
